Safety

Knowing who’s driving

Verification before the first trip, a live link for someone you trust, and support that already has the trip in front of it.

For riders

Before, during and after

Check before you get in

Your driver’s name, vehicle and plate appear in the app before they arrive.

Share your trip

Send a live link to someone you trust. It expires on its own and stops updating when the trip ends.

Report from the trip

Raise a problem from inside the trip, so the details are already attached when we read it.

For drivers

Safety runs both ways

Verified before the first trip

Every driver’s licence, vehicle and documents are reviewed before they can accept a ride.

You see the rider’s destination

Before you accept, not after you have already started.

Support that knows the trip

Report an incident from the trip record rather than from a blank form.

Community guidelines

The short version

  • Treat the other person the way you would want to be treated.
  • No harassment, discrimination or unsafe conduct — as a rider or as a driver.
  • No fraud: fake trips, fake damage claims, or fare manipulation.
  • Follow the road rules of the city you’re in.
  • Accounts can be suspended or closed for a documented reason.

Coming

MatSafe

MatSafe will add emergency sharing with trusted contacts and verified response partners. It is not live yet, and this page will say so until it is.

MatRide is not an emergency service. It does not contact police, ambulance or any other authority on your behalf. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services directly — do not wait for, or rely on, the app.
